We were first introduced to La Terra Fina when a customer ran into the original sign and destroyed it.  To economize the client selected a DiBond sign panel, migrated from raised dimensional lettering to premium vinyl graphics, and had us implement their new corporate branding for two signs at their Union City facility.  The new corporate branding was visually appealing and we went to work replacing the old sign with two new ones.  Guess what?  The larger frontal sign was hit again.  This time by a truck!  Thankfully the sign panel itself was unscathed but our client decided that it was time to protect the sign with three sturdy bollards placed in front of it as pictured!

We had to replace the wooden 4”x4” posts that were severed by the impact of the truck.  Because there was no design work involved it was just a matter of ordering the bollards and waiting for them to arrive along with some drier weather so that digging out the old footings and adding new posts/footings for the posts and bollards could be tackled.

DiBond is an aluminum composite made with corrugated plastic sandwiched between two thin sheets of aluminum.  It makes for a strong rigid panel that is sturdy but light weight and extremely durable.  It’s a great choice for the exterior even when the signs are attach directly to a building façade.

La Terra Fina is a well-known restaurant food supplier that is local to the Bay Area.  Founded in 1983 by a caterer who became known for her delicious quiches and dips, their chef inspired product list has grown and the stores supply many products for grocery and club stores throughout the greater Bay area.

SignWorks continues to work with clients large and small on their post and panel signs, as well as DiBond signs that mount directly to the building facade.  We also work with our customers to select cost effective materials that help them economize and stay within their budget.  And, we offer design assistance as well when it is needed.  Call us at (510) 357-2000 and a staff member can advise you on next steps.  For more information about our work just visit our website to view some of our project photos and learn more us.
