SignWorks was pleased to be the vendor in supplying the promotional table throw for the City of Oakland’s ADA (Americans with Disabilities) Programs Division. While we typically work or ADA signage and less on trade show and display products, it was a welcomed deviation from the norm at our Facility.  We work with one of the leading tradeshow and lighting vendors in the country, Orbus to offer a large variety of tradeshow and event products such a table throws.  The company is a trade only supplier to the sign industry.  Their Exhibit and Display Group offers market leading brands to the event and tradeshow industry and to their signage suppliers.

Working with the City of Oakland personnel was straightforward and easy.  They sent us a layout for a custom sized table throw.  However, after reviewing the additional cost of the custom size throw they decided to use the standard size for a 6 ft. wide and 30” tall table.  The throw is designed the entirely cover the table front, back and sides all the way to the ground as shown in the picture.  The design approval, fabrication and shipment took less than a week!

Oakland’s ADA Programs Division exists to ensure that the disabled community has the same access to city services as the rest of the Oakland community.  The Division manages the compliance aspects of city wide activities and services to the disabled community.  Their dedicated staff oversees multi-million infrastructure and improvement programs, resolves formal complaints and civil rights issues, and implements settlement agreements where called for.  They also work closely with the Mayors Commission on Persons with Disabilities (MCPD).
