SignWorks has a long term relationship with Lanikai, the commercial property management company located in Southern California. Over the years we have done several projects ranging from property restriction signs, ADA tenant signs, directory sign updates, lobby signs and most recently fire safety signs, ADA decals and evacuation map updates. In this case the maps needed to match the design style within the building so the four 18” by 14” maps were direct printed onto a brushed aluminum substrate by another partner with a flat-bed printer. The rest of the order was comprised of four color matched 8” by 4” ADA signs, one exterior 12” by 6” gas shut off sign, and several red and white stairwell and exit decals. In this particular instance the client is having the signs installed by their maintenance staff.
The company manages the Creekside Plaza property located at the corner of Davis Street and San Leandro Boulevard in San Leandro. The property consists of multiple buildings that house several government agencies, a bank and a variety of other commercial tenants. Renovations resulted in the need for additional ADA compliant signs and we were called to color match the teal colored ADA signs that the tenant was already using. It is no trivial thing to change the color palette for an entire building when only a small number of additional signs need to be added. Also, colors that are not an exact match would have trivialized the space and made it look very unprofessional.
