SignWorks , working with a trusted subcontractor, was able to quickly turn around an engraving project for Coast Crane in San Leandro.  The manager needed the 13 small engraved placards for mounting to their cranes and to comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) guidelines.  We were happy to be able to help.  The order was placed days ago and we were able to generate individual art proofs (as photographed) which were approved the next morning.  The project is now in production and will be done in time for the scheduled OSHA inspection. The exterior grade engraving plastic used is rated for outdoor use.

Often, when we think of engraving we think of metal trophies and placards used for celebratory events and recognition.  However, engraving metals and plastics are also used for many commercial purposes.  Laser engraving materials include metals, plastics, glass and stone.  The laser etches away the surface material leaving the desired marks or lettering.  Recent SignWorks engraving project include one for an aviation giant and another for a local engineering/manufacturing concern.

Our current client, Coast Crane, has a presence throughout the Pacific Northwest and like their San Leandro operation provides lifting solutions and crane rentals for various construction industry projects.  The company has been around for 40 years and sells, rents and services cranes.  Their construction projects cover a variety of fields and include commercial and residential construction, petro-chemical, bridges, highways, ship building, offshore oil and industrial plants, to name a few.

SignWorks has been providing engraving solutions to local businesses since 2008.  We are experts in the design, fabrication and installation of engraved and sandblasted signs.  If you are contemplating an upcoming engraving project please give us a call at (510) 357-2000.   Our knowledgeable team members can assist you at every step of the process.  To learn more about our recent projects or get information about our company, just visit our website and view our blog posts and photographs.
