The simple truth is that lamination protects your print from damage or scraping. Solvent based inks, like those used at SignWorks, can last up to two years outdoors but laminating the print regardless of the material its mounted to will extend the life even further. Although there is an added cost associated with laminating we highly recommend it and think that itâs very worthwhile. Also, in urban neighborhoods, adding lamination or a graffiti guard to your graphics and lettering protects your pocket book from costly reprinting if a neighborhood artist decides to âenhanceâ your storefront or window graphics. Once laminated graffiti markings such as spray paint, ink and crayon are easily removed with cleaners such a Goof Off Âź.
Unlike printed graphics, solid color cut vinyl does will not need to be laminated.
