SignWorks is pleased to have completed yet another precision tooled brass plaque for client, Inglenook. It shipped last month and we wanted to share some information about the project. Working with staff and designer’s at Inglenook, made for an approval process that was completed in record time.
The client had commissioned the commemorative plaque noting that the steel frame and rivets were the same as those used that survived the 1906 and 1989 earthquakes and were used to fabricate the Golden Gate Bridge in 1907. We worked with our long time wholesaler, Gemini, to provide the 6” by 8” precision tooled plaque.
When it comes to plaques and dimensional letters and the lifetime pass through warranty feature, this is hard to pass by and is a major factor when deciding who to work with on these types of projects. And, with smaller projects like this one it is easy to ship the finished product directly to the client since we are confident of the workmanship and shipping process offered by our wholesaler.
Gemini plaques come in a variety of styles including raised lettering with recessed background, laser etched, and precision tooled, like the current project. Also, when plaques have lots of graphic detail, a Giclee print can be used and mounted onto the plaque, allowing for the inclusion of art elements and shading not allowed with more traditional plaques. These art elements are sealed with a clear coat.
