SignWorks has designed a variety of plaques, some used on buildings to identify when the building was first constructed, and others to acknowledge a fallen hero or to celebrate and acknowledge an employee’s contribution.  We have also produced ADA plaques, complete with Braille and Tactile lettering for local transit entities. Often we use our trusted partner, Gemini, because their products feature a lifetime pass through warranty which benefits our clients.

Our plaques come in a variety of styles that include raised lettering with recessed backgrounds, laser etched, and precision tooled.  When plaques require lots of graphic detail, a Giclee print can be used and mounted to the plaque surface.  This allows for the inclusion of art elements and shading that is not allowed with traditional plaques.  The art elements are then sealed onto the metal plaque with a clear coat.

Plaques come in either bronze, brass or aluminum and are produced using earth-friendly lead free and mercury alloys with eleven finishing options that include brushed, oxidized, painted, patina, polished, and more, as well as multiple background textures and color options.  And, they can be designed to include custom emblems (as pictured), logos and portraits.  The typical production cycle is 8 days after art approval.

Gemini  also produces dimensional logo’s/letters in flat cut, fabricated and cast acrylic, flat cut, fabricated and cast metals, injection molded plastics, as well as illuminated lettering.  They are recognized as an industry leader with more than 50 years of production experience.  The company produces high quality products that carry a life time warranty.

SignWorks has had the privilege of producing plaques for a variety of Bay Area business and government agencies, many of whom are repeat clients.  If you are looking for a local sign company to design and fabricate a metal plaque, please connect with one of our skilled team members by calling us at (510) 357-2000.  We can help you to decide on materials, finishes and the like, as well as provide design services if needed.   To learn more about SignWorks, just visit our website where you can read our blog posts and view photographs of recently completed projects.
