We had worked on an updated exterior building sign for Hayward based Serpico Landscaping so we were really surprised to get a phone call telling us something was wrong with the sign! A site visit confirmed that the sign had indeed warped, a very rare occurrence for the DiBond material we had used. Thankfully, we are very loyal to our suppliers so when we explained what had occurred, they treated it as a warranty claim and credited us for the material. Because the client did not want to invest in a sign frame, we decided to use a slightly thicker grade of DiBond this time around.
Because we have the artwork on file we fabricated the cut vinyl sections and mounted them to the two new DiBond panels that were butted together to create this outdoor sign. DiBond is an aluminum composite made of aluminum sheeting material with a plastic corrugated core. The newly mounted sign is 8ft. wide by approximately 7 ft. tall. The replacement sign sits about 20 ft. above ground so it was erected by our two man team using scaffolding.
