Fairfield, CA – Illuminated Cabinet Sign for New Hop N Play Location

A few months ago the managing partner at Hop N Play contacted us to see if we could replicate the halo lit sign used at their Shops at Tanforan  San Bruno location.   The new location of this children’s themed playground called for a sparkling new illuminated sign cabinet and SignWorks, Inc., Hayward CA was happy to provide one. The new indoor playground isn’t open yet but is located at the Solano Town Center in Fairfield, CA.   The first location opened last year so it’s clear that the concept offering an opportunity for young children to play, learn and socialize is a success. Parents can drop off children while shopping or accompany their children during mall hours. Scheduling a party or dropping them off for a Friday Date Night is a breeze and kids enjoy a supervised play experience.

Halo lit signs are also referred to as backlit signs.  They are perfect for high traffic locations and offer a touch of class for malls and similar locations. Like most SignWorks projects of this scale, the Hop N Play’s project began with a detailed site survey to confirm measurements and mounting details for attaching the sign to the fascia of the storefront. After reviewing the mall’s detailed sign requirements, and the customer’s logo artwork, SignWorks proceeded with the custom design of the 34-inch high by 72-inch wide sign.  The frontal sign pictured above is of the new Fairfield location which hasn’t opened just yet.

After a rigorous review process by the customer, the mall staff and the City of Fairfield (and making the necessary changes to comply with varied inputs), the design was approved for production.  Constructed of a .125-inch thick poly-carbonate face with standard vinyl overlays, the 3-inch deep by .063-inch thick aluminum returns, the halo lit sign was finally ready.  The sign featured a LEXAN transparent plastic back and threaded mounting studs. The sign has a remote power supply with switches.  A mounting pattern and wiring diagram were included.
