Tenant name changes and consolidations will often affect the 1st and 2nd floor directories which will trigger updates to the associated directories.
We usually generate a proof for our client to share with the tenants so that everyone is clear on the necessary changes. Once we have approval we moved forward and send a technician out to retrieve the directory slats from the facility in San Pablo. Once the slat/s are back at our facility we peal the outdated text from the slat/s and clean the surface of all residues. Using our plotter, we make the new lettering and apply the revised text to the slat. We then send the technician back to the site to install the corrected slats back into the directories. It’s a task we’ve performed repeatedly several times over the years.
