SignWorks was called upon to fabricate and install two styles of large banners that had already been designed by the WSS marketing team. We produced 3 colorful banners sized at 5 ft. by 10 ft. and 2 more at 4 ft. by 14 ft. using 13 ounce scrim banner material.  This weight is appropriate for banners being mounted directly against a building façade.  In fact, we produce lots of banners for Trader Joe’s  using the same type of material.

It’s no secret that banners are a very popular promotional tool used by retailers to advertise sales, special promotions and events like store openings and closings.  But banners are also used for sporting events, fairs and gatherings of all sorts.  These include soccer games, birthday parties, trade shows and book fairs.  Banners are inexpensive and a very popular means of communication.  Our company produces lots of them throughout any given season and for all types of clients.  We have fabricated and hung enormous building sized banners at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) at their facility in Palo and another at the Alameda Storehouse and Loft building that is currently under construction.

Founded in 1984, WSS is a shoe retailing chain formerly known as Warehouse Shoe Sale.  They are headquartered in Los Angeles, California and as of January 2020 had 92 retail outlets.  The parent company is Eurostar, Inc.  WSS can trace its roots back to 1977 when its founder, Eric Alon, first sold shoes at a swap meet.
