SignWorks is blessed to have worked with a variety of contractors large and small producing everything from project identification signs, interior ADA tenant signs and evacuation maps, to various fire safety, stair IDs and more. We are getting ready to pull the trigger on a large scale renovation project for the Castro Hotel in San Francisco CA that includes a cross section of sign types, including evacuation maps, ADA plaques, ADA compliant tenant signs, dimensional letter signs and more.  Our past client list for these complex renovation projects have included construction giants, Turner Construction, Cahill Contractors, Shimmick, Clark Construction Group, and small local construction firms such as Atkinson Construction, A-One Construction, Alameda Point Developers, Chambers Construction and Silman Industries, to name just a few.

This work involves working with our construction clients to review large plan sets and isolate the sign specifications and drawings.  Often, since the signage is usually one of the last items addressed by the architect, the signage information is lacking or incomplete and the specifications and quantities are undefined.  At times our local builders are immersed in a renovation project only to get targeted for compliance issues by the Fire Department for lacking or outdated fire safety and evacuation maps.  Generally, many sign companies are not well equipped or versed in understanding these guidelines, so many of our clients are delighted to have found us! Many continue to be loyal repeat customers to this day.

Our upcoming project which we hope to finalize and install soon, is sure to complete by year end and we are excited to have coordinate the multiple sign types into a cohesive installation schedule very soon.

While the upcoming project is by no means our largest, it’s safe to say that our construction clients keep us quite busy!  At present we are working closely with Alameda Point Developers to hang their 10 ft. by 35ft. building banner which includes pictures aimed at leasing the mixed use space they have been working on in Alameda, CA.  Their custom “For Lease” blade sign is just one aspect of work we have been doing with them.  For more information on these and other construction renovation and exterior building signs, just visit our website and review our blog posts. If you would like to discuss your upcoming construction or renovation project, whether large or small, just give us a call at (510) 357-2000. We are confident that you’ll be glad you did!
