SignWorks continues our work with the design staff at ballonSTUDIO and installed the Geometry suite and door signs at their facility in San Francisco. We are extremely pleased with the results and are excited to have played a role in the sign selection, fabrication and installation processes. The selection of the Helvetica Light Font, the brass finish which is a very light oxidized, and the white stand0ffs for the suite signs, allowed the brass lettering choice to take the forefront! These ¼” thick brass letters are 1.88” tall and mount to ¼” thick clear acrylic backers with polished edges, making each of the four suite signs look professional and very upscale! We also installed several small interior door signs. We are confident that the end client, Geometer, will be very pleased with the results!
SignWorks is a huge Gemini fan and we typically source our dimensional letters from them because the letters carry a life-time warranty. Our customers appreciate the value in guarding against potential defects. Gemini is the primary supplier to many sign fabricators and they supply a variety of related products, including molded plastic logos and lettering, as well as flat cut acrylic and metal letters. In addition, they supply cast metal logos and letters in a variety of thicknesses and metal finishes, that include aluminum, steel, brass and bronze finishes. Gemini also carries a variety of plaques. These include raised and recessed lettering, as well as precision tooled and etched.
Over the years we have found Gemini’s staff to be incredibly professional and very easy to work with. In fact, their website is very rich with product content and we sometimes send customer’s there if they need to compare product types or want some guidance regarding available fonts or finishes. The company also works with custom fonts as may be required by corporate marketing departments.
BallonSTUDIO was founded in 2003 and is a San Francisco based full service interior design firm. Their founder, Sabra Ballon, has designed hotel interiors in San Francisco, Hawaii and Las Vegas for Hotel Nikko, Hilton Hotels and many others. Her work, includes luxury residential and boutique hospitality and commercial projects, and has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle.
