We’re continuing to work on a variety of projects for Trader Joe’s. This most recent one has SignWorks shipping a “Coming Soon” banner that is 15 ft. wide and 34” tall. We’re also cranking out “Not An Exit” signs for their Indianapolis, IN and Redlands, CA stores. And, we recently shipped a slew of additional orders for cut vinyl decals for a number of other stores. We are happy and thankful for the work during these extraordinary times. It keeps our printer and plotter quite busy!
We have all of the Trader Joes art files loaded on our system for these and other store signs, including a variety of banners that are part of the store opening package. We will be sending more 15 ft. wide and 34” tall banners to the new store once the opening date is confirmed, along with store hour decals and banners and parking signs. We typically process and ship their orders in just a matter of days. Like many retailers, they use a variety of cut vinyl decals including address lettering for store windows, and for the store name and operating hours. We pre-mask these decals to make them easier to install.
Trader Joe’s has a well-established brand identity that they have developed over several years and the stores are very popular where I live. I personally shop there frequently because their products are well priced and I love the extensive selection of fruits, vegetables, breads, cheeses, wines and so much more.
The company was founded in 1958 by Joe Coulombe who took over a small chain of convenience stores around the LA area and called them Pronto Markets. After ten years it became clear that the convenience store formula needed some adjustments and Joe then opened the first Trader Joe’s store in 1967 in Pasadena, CA. He became aware of the changing demographics and decided to leverage his G. I. Bill benefits to get a better education. That’s when he decided to deliver something new and different. The nautical theme he decided on has certainly paid off. Team members still consider themselves “traders on the culinary seas” and are known for their bright, tropical-patterned shirts. Employees are generally known for being nice, helpful, and well informed.
