SignWorks works with a variety of clients on various types of Americans with Disabilities (ADA) signs. In the past, the guidelines around color contrast were a lot more restrictive making the signs less appealing and less aesthetically pleasing. Over the years this has changed and architects and designers are developing shapes and color palettes that not only offer visual contrast but use borders, visual cues that add lots of creative flare while still adhering to the guidelines!
We have completed a new add-on order, working through partner AMP Printing that will soon be installed at their client’s facility in San Francisco. As you can see from the picture, the 7” X 5” ADA signs (15 room signs in all), though ADA compliant, are far from boring.
AMP Printing continues to be the printer of choice for large Silicon Valley firms in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. As is our custom and process, we still produce an art proof for the client to approve. This ensures that we don’t introduce any typographical errors. We want to ensure the color selection, sizing and fonts are all of the client’s choosing.
AMP Printing is based in Dublin and their client list reads like the who’s who of Silicon Valley, and while they’ll happily supply the print and wall graphics, whether small or large digital format. Their client roster means that they will often need to partner with others to fill other client needs, especially when commercial signage is needed. Their company was founded in 1979 and is woman owned, like SignWorks. Their 200,000 square foot state of the art building houses 150 employees. Their print services include traditional offset printing, short run digital printing, large format digital printing, and letterpress as well as bindery, kitting and fulfillment.
