SignWorks had already undergone the arduous process of submittals for the Madison Park High School renovation, including several requests for additional information about the fabrication process and materials used.  Several weeks ago the architects working with our client, FOCON Inc., asked to be supplied with production grade samples (pictured) for review and approval prior to fabrication.  Just days ago, SignWorks was given the green light to proceed with fabrication.  Since this has been a very iterative process our wholesaler has requested a review of the sign details and quantities and we are in the process of getting this done.

Fabrication for the ADA signs (Americans with Disabilities) signs will take 3-4 weeks and we will be supplying the Oakland Unified School District with ADA compliant restroom and door signs, along with a variety of interior (photopolymer) and exterior (acrylic) tenant identification and exit signs.  The sign project order consists of over 90 signs in various sizes and dimensions.  All of which had to be laid out in shop drawings and quantified.

While we are working directly with FOCON on the signage, the project itself is a joint venture between Cahill Contractors’ and FOCON.  We have worked with both companies on numerous occasions.

With over 100 years of building experience throughout the San Francisco Bay, Cahill is a large local builder.  They pride themselves on doing construction and business, the right way and offer construction and building services across a variety of market segments.  They have the resources and financial strength to bid and bond very large building projects.  Their strengths include a seasoned and experienced staff while getting the job done correctly.

SignWorks knows all too well that compliance with ADA and/or fire safety guidelines is critical, especially for large building renovation projects.  If you are looking for a sign company that has these skills, then look no further! Our past clients include Cahill Contractors, Turner Construction, Silman Construction, FOCON, Atkinson Construction and more.  Just give us a call at (510) 357-2000  and a friendly team member will help you to get started.  You can visit our website to learn more about us and/or view our blog posts and photographs.  We are a one-stop source for building and project signage, including ADA, dimensional lettering and fire safety signs.
