SignWorks has been working on with the property management staff at Pacific Plaza, San Leandro on several fire safety, exit and ADA signs. The property, a large residential structure comprised of four main buildings, takes up an entire city block. The property manager had been instructed by the fire department to make fire safety upgrades throughout the property and contacted us for assistance.
It was a large project comprised of fire signs, ADA signs, interior property signs and exit signs. We made a total of 64 interior FDC (Fire Department Connection) cut vinyl signs mounted to 3mm PVC, several 18” by 12” ROOF ACCESS signs and 54 interior 12” by 6” vinyl lettered signs denoting the storage, trash and boiler rooms (pictured). We also worked with our ADA wholesaler to supply two 12” by 12” ADA stairwell signs with contoured corners. Rounding out the project were two 18” by 12” reflective aluminum exit signs. These signs are typically used to enhance nighttime exiting visibility.
We are now working on another related fire safety project comprised of 64 Evacuation Maps spread across the four main buildings of the property. We have already completed the site survey, as needed to detail the placement of the various symbols and exit paths. Though the project was delayed while we obtained the core drawings for the building, we should be able to report on the completion of this second project within the near future.
