SignWorks is approaching completion on the Gap, Inc.  renovation project in Pleasanton. Itâs a project with many moving parts and our engraving wholesaler recently delivered 18 engraved stainless Steel (1/8â thick) panel inserts that will mount to a specialty Chronex sign. Our client had ordered these from another source. Each panel needed to have braille and the tactile room numbers added. These panels, once assembled, will be mounted to their respective door/wall. The picture demonstrates the breadth of uses for engraved signs, particularly where ADA compliant signs are needed.
The entire project is scheduled for installation of ADA (including tenant and exiting signage), Evacuation Maps, Fire Safety signs and decals, along with vinyl graphics and the Gap dimensional logo sign, at the end of July. With the exception of some corridor brackets for the fire extinguisher signs, most items have already been delivered to the job site in anticipation of the installation.
We will have lots of post installation pictures to share over the next few weeks and anticipate that the installation will be complete over a two day window.
The Gap has been around since 1969 when owners Doris and Don Fisher came up with the simple idea of making it easier to find a pair of jeans and, a commitment to doing more. Now a global fashion business, it is comprised of the Gap, banana republic, Old Navy, Athleta and Intermix. There are over 3,300 company operated stores plus 400 franchise stores in 90 countries. This does not include the e-commerce sites which give the company even greater exposure!
