We were contacted last Friday by an out of area contractor doing a building project in San Leandro. He desperately needed two parking restriction signs for his project in order to pass inspection. The 24” X 24” aluminum pole sign contains language addressing unauthorized parking and the associated vehicle code. It is a sign that is available locally from our wholesaler and we typically add the address and phone number where towed cars can be retrieved. The 12” X 24” aluminum van accessibility sign is a stock item, but unfortunately it was out of stock until the following Tuesday.
Parking signs, like fire safety signs, can delay the approval process when it comes to a building project. Building inspectors and fire department personnel can delay the process and impose hefty fines for failure to comply. Sometimes building occupancy will not be allowed unless the occupancy criteria and associated compliance signs are in place.

Grimco is a wholesale sign industry supplier who carries a host of sign industry supplies including vinyl, sign blanks, substrates, supplies and equipment. We picked up the sign that needed to be lettered and stripped in the applicable text. When the other sign arrived our contractor was able to pick up both signs from our Hayward facility and get them mounted in time for his inspection.
