We were approached several months ago regarding helping the staff at Humphreyâs University with developing some graphics that would complement the existing wall graphics above the vending machines at one of their campus locations. Evidently, the marketing staff had headed a donation drive to raise the funds for this effort and needed them in time for a grand opening of the newly decorated area scheduled for early October.
Our design staff worked diligently to match the theme and colors and to create a graphic that would give the illusion of walking down a jungle pathway as shown in the pictures above. The two machines were 48â and 40â wide, and 68.5â long. Both machines sit side by side in a recessed cubby with jungle themed graphics on the wall above them. Detailed measurements of the vending machine cut outs for the coin slots, window vending area, etc. were required to ensure that key design elements and colors were not placed in areas that would be cut away. The idea being to maximize the jungle theme print area while accepting that large sections would be lost when the vending window and coin box elements were cut away.
We used top of the line 3M wrap vinyl which was printed and laminated so as to protect the graphic underneath. We were also careful to match the color palette of the wall graphics where the machines are housed.
Once we shipped the graphics our field installer connected with the client to gain access to the area. Although this proved to be somewhat of a challenge given the clientâs travel schedule, a subordinate was found and the installation was completed timely.
Humphreyâs University is an accredited institution offering higher education programs in a variety of disciplines. This independent non-profit institution offers Certificate, Associate, Bachelors and Masterâs degree programs in the Stockton and Modesto areas. Their Juris Doctorate program is designed to accommodate working students. International students are accommodated at campuses in the Sacramento and Los Angeles areas. The university has been educating students for the past 120 years.
