San Leandro, CA – Yard Signs for Local School’s Dads Club

Many sign company customers, from corporations to small businesses and every type of nonprofit organization, need yard signs and posters for annual events. Last month, the Assumption Dad’s Club trusted SignWorks, Inc., Hayward, CA to produce yard signs for their fundraising golf event. The project included thirteen double-sided 24”x18” Coroplast^® corrugated plastic yard signs with wire H stakes and one 24”x36” single-sided poster recognizing thirteen event sponsors.

SignWorks has provided fundraising event signs for many customers over the years and most have a few things in common. First, gathering sponsors’ logos can be a time-consuming process. Sponsors do not always immediately respond to requests, sometimes because they don’t have access to a high-quality digital version of their logo. Second, the customer usually underestimates the number of sponsors they will be recognizing because some sponsors wait until the last minute to commit. Usually, the sign company begins the design process early on but the proof is often not ready until the last minute due to additional sponsors being added. In this case, the Assumption Dad’s Club ordered nine sponsor signs but the number increased throughout the process with the final product recognizing thirteen sponsors.

The Assumption Dad’s Club at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary raises money throughout the academic year to support Assumption Catholic School in the Diocese of Oakland, a kindergarten through grade 8 parochial school in San Leandro. Besides the recent Golf Outing, their annual events include a Car Show and Drive-In Movie Night in October, a Turkey Bowl in November, a Gingerbread House Social in December, a Men’s Crab & Pasta Feed in January, a Poker Tourney and Dinner in March, a Father Daughter Dinner Dance in April and a Skate Night in May. Dad’s Club members meet monthly to plan the events.
