We have finally finished updating the local PDE fleet consisting of five vehicles. Their logo changed so we were asked to remove the current vehicle door graphics and install new ones. We also, updated the logo on their glass entry door. The installation project was pretty straight forward however, the logistics given that these are working trucks, took weeks to coordinate. We had to make sure our installers were available on days when the trucks were not scheduled and would be in San Leandro.
The other problem is that vinyl removal time is not easy to estimate. Most shops, like ours, perform vinyl removal on a time and materials basis. This is because the ease with which the vinyl will come off varies and is based on how old the material is and how long the vinyl has been baked in place by the sun. The quality of the vinyl that was used and how it was installed, are also factors that will play into how difficult it is to remove. Thankfully, there was only one vehicle that that fell into the “difficult” category.
