This has been an exciting project from start to finish.  Working closely with local architects the sign first began as primarily back lit channel letters mounted on corrugated panels with some Asian characters in neon in the lower right hand corner.  After making some adjustments and to address some budgetary issues, SignWorks suggested flat cut dimensional letters in a contrasting medium bronze color.  The neon remained in place and was fabricated by a local subcontractor.  This change resulted in overall savings of approximately 40% over what had originally been proposed.

The staggered fan blades in the front view, made from corrugated aluminum, served as the background for the pin-mounted metal letters.  These were mounted on 2 inch studs to create a floating effect.   This meant that the letters had to be mounted individually in a shop environment to ensure each letter face was evenly mounted relative to the one beside it.  The project included coordinating all the moving parts including design and layout.  This also involved working closely with the architects, coordinating subcontractor neon fabrication, preparing permit drawings and securing approvals, and finally managing the installation process.  Take a look at the finished project and give us your feedback on our latest creation!  You can reach us at 510-357-2000 or email your comments to us at info@signworks.us.com.
