Normally we quote most vehicle wrap projects without including the roof. This is because in most cases the roof isn’t going to be visible and it allows our customers to save of the expense associated with the cost of the additional vinyl. Obviously, for delivery vehicles in large metropolitan cities with lots of tall buildings this would not be the case. In fact, the opposite would be true. Wrapping the roof so that it can be seen from the overhead windows of the city’s office workers and apartment dwellers alike might be essential. Any type of food delivery vehicle, pizza or take-out of any kind, would be missing an opportunity to market to office workers and apartment dwellers by not wrapping the vehicles roof and including the phone number.
Another obvious exception would be emergency vehicles. Typically, police cars, fire trucks and medical vehicles that may need to be tracked by an overhead helicopter, will need to have vehicle markings and identification numbers on the roof. The other exception would be low profile sports vehicles being wrapped in matte colors or where the existing automobile paint color provides too stark a contrast. If you have a low profile vehicle or one that has a flat top (like a Scion) you may want to wrap the roof.
