In the world of sign design pixel count is extremely important. To create truly vivid images, without jagged edges, we need art files and logos submitted in file formats of 300 dots per inch or better. Often, the original logo or art may have been developed for a business card. Hence the resolution contained in the art file may appear very crisp when viewed on your computer screen due to the small size of image being used. However, that same art when magnified to create a large banner or overhead sign may appear jagged and blurry when enlarged to a much bigger size, unless the resolution is high enough. If the sign is being displayed overhead and from a distance, some imperfections may not be as noticeable.

Pixilization Example

At SignWorks we strive to please and can digitally clean up some poor quality images, however, this can cause delays and adds additional time and cost to your project. As they say, “garbage in, garbage out.” At SignWorks our goal is to exceed your expectations and produce superior signs that contain crisp vivid images that are void of pixilation!
