A potential customer with a large fleet of box trucks complained that every sample it received from prospective vehicle wrap vendors had some degree of color banding. Their chosen custom color was being digitally produced and because of the large surface area, the color bands though subtle, were visible at close range. We proposed a very simple solution, instead of having the color produced digitally, choose a close color match for the background in a cut vinyl material. This would ensure color uniformity and make the wrap even more affordable.

By eliminating the need to produce the color (in our case with our Roland VP-540 solvent printer), the company would move to a less expensive process, could eliminate the need for over-laminating, and save time and money!

If your company brand consists of simple color contrasts versus photo realistic images, selecting a stock vinyl color can build in some big savings. Our goal at SignWorks is to suggest alternatives that keep your bottom line in mind.
