Based in Hayward Big Joe, a heavy equipment and storage vendor, recently decided on a rebranding project to make their location more visible and their signage stand out! They wanted an updated look that would be bolder and brighter, especially on their overhead pole and building signs. Though the City of Hayward no longer allows new backlit pole signs or cabinet signs, (the exception being backlit channel letters, the existing signs were “grand-fathered” in. Meaning that the signs could be refaced to embody brighter colors with bolder text and images to create what appeared to be a bigger/bolder look.
The signs are approximately 20 ft. and 40 ft. above ground respectively, so it was important that our installation crew perform a site survey using a boom truck to insure that the measurements for each of these LEXAN sign faces was accurate. After several iterations with our in-house designer the approved sign faces were mounted in place. Special care was taken to ensure the safety of passerby below as these huge sign faces were hoisted into place. We hope you like the results!
